Jovana Morales

Jovana is passionate about immigrant rights and advocacy for the immigrant community. As a first-generation daughter of immigrants, Jovana understands the concerns of the community and the importance of knowing one’s rights and having representation. 
Jovana’s passion for advocacy and immigration law has been what led her to law school and to pursue a career as a lawyer. She is fluent in English and Spanish. 
Jovana attended the University of California, Irvine where she received her Bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Political Science. After her graduation, she attended Southwestern Law School, where she received Southwestern’s 2021 Summer Public Interest Law Grant and the Southwestern Public Interest Law Service Award. 
During her time in law school, she pursued her interest in immigration law by externing with Kids in Need of Defense, working in Southwestern’s Immigration Law Clinic, and at the Public Law Center in its Immigration Unit. She also worked in the Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit with the Orange County District Attorney. Her opportunities in law school allowed her to pursue her passion for immigration law, advocacy, and representing those in need.
